Is there a simpler solution?
Have you ever heard of Maimonides? He is also known by his name Moses Ben Maimon (1135-1204). He wrote about theology, law, philosophy, medicine, astronomy and mathematics.
"If you follow our path, I guarantee that you will not get sick all your life ... your body will be in perfect condition and stay healthy all your life." - Maimonides
This is a pretty bold statement. That is the truth?
Here's a quick rundown of what's written in The 5 Skinny Habits¹.
1. Listen to your body: An experiment with three-year-old children showed that they stopped eating when they were full. The 5-year-old group continued to eat after their refusal. The premise is that in childhood we learn to "cleanse" our plates.
2. There are two basic principles:
• Do not overeat
• Exercise at the right pace.
3. Changing your habits instantly leads to illnesses - Maimonides
4. The book recommends a weekly change of habit. For example, you eat a light meal in the first week. These may be fruit, vegetables or two eggs and 1 piece of bread. You can have and combine different types of fruits. If you decide to eat vegetables for your light meal, you can choose a soup or a salad.
Week 5 You prepare a protein and vegetarian meal in the first week while you are taking light meals.
Week 6 3 You add protein + vegetables + carbohydrates per meal. If you are still hungry, you have a second herbal help. You continue what you did in the first two weeks.
7. In the fourth week add an exercise. The goal is ten minutes of exercise at least three times a week. If you already have an exercise program, continue what you do. For those of us who do not exercise, ten minutes three times a week is a good starting point.
8. Fifth week - replacement method. I leave it up to you to decide if you want to explore it further.
